EMEA Developer Programs Coordinator
Developer Circles is a community-driven program that's free to join and open to any developer. Each Developer Circle is led by members of the local community who act as leads for the circle, organizing events offline and managing a local online Facebook community. Developer Circles are forums to share knowledge, collaborate, build new ideas, and learn about the latest technologies from Facebook and other industry leaders. Whether a member of a circle is a student learning how to code, a developer looking to turn an idea into a reality, or an experienced coder searching for the latest Facebook product and open source tool updates, Developer Circles empowers a diverse range of technical talent to improve their skills and access the information they need.
We are looking for a Developer Programs Coordinator to be the eyes and ears of support for our Developer Circles across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). You are detail-oriented, organized, eager to support the team and have a passion for bringing communities together. EMEA is a huge region, hence, we need someone that is able to prioritize and manage work that is being done in different time zones and capacities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Build relationships with the community leaders of the Developer Circles Program across EMEA on a weekly basis.
Respond to and triage support questions & feedback and support requests from Developer Circle leads via Facebook groups, Messenger, email etc.
Source & surface success stories & insights about the program across social media platforms.
Work closely with the Developer Circles team to develop playbooks & best practices for the developer circles community
Consistently report updates and insights from the community to relevant internal Facebook teams
Support the team with collating, tracking, and documenting important metrics from the community
Support the EMEA developer circles with meetup approvals and budget tracking
Regional meetup post event reporting
Regional Training & other developer Initiatives
Support training partners and the team with compiling applicant lists
Support training partners and the team with emailing successful and unsuccessful applicants where applicable
Support DevC training partners and the team with managing any Facebook group for the training initiatives
Support Developer Circles presence at regional summits and other Facebook events where applicable
Proven work experience working with communities (e.g managing an online community, forum, group etc)
Excellent verbal & writing communication skills
Knowledge of Facebook products & tools e.g Messenger, Facebook groups, etc
Ability to multi-task & good attention to detail
Self directed, result-oriented and inquisitive
1-3 years relevant work experience
BSc in any relevant field
A big plus, knowledge of developer communities or relevant across Europe, Middle East & Africa
BSc in any relevant field
