This position will work within Instagram’s Sports Partnerships team, partnering closely with the Facebook Sports Team.


The Sports Partnerships team works closely with the leading content creators in the world, including leagues, teams, media, and athletes. This role requires deep knowledge of the sports business industry, as well as strong interpersonal skills to help drive alignment among various stakeholders, while also influencing go-to-market strategies that optimize for growth, adoption and value for this audience.

  • Partner closely with internal League and Team stakeholders to provide Instagram specific support as it pertains to how we engage with our partners relating to their business objectives as well as our go to market strategy around priority products.
  • Help drive Instagram Sports Shopping initiatives in conjunction with the broader Sports Commerce XFN.
  • Develop framework for partner business reviews, including data analysis, collateral creation and tactical recommendations
  • Quickly become an internal expert on Instagram products and priorities and work closely with XFN stakeholders to help provide visibility, context, and strategy as it pertains to ongoing League and Team initiatives.
  • Gather partner feedback; synthesizing into product requirements, prioritizing, scoping, and working with our product and engineering teams to build into the product roadmap
  • Provide internal support and timely solutions to build long-term relationships and trust across the sports team ecosystem
  • Engage supporting roles like Partner Solutions, Media Operations and Marketing through cross-functional collaboration


The successful candidate will have experience influencing stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization. This role will require cross-team collaboration with our internal counterparts in Product, Marketing and Partner Solutions, and will touch upon a broad set of products across Facebook, Inc. This is a sixth-month contract role, based in New York, for the Media Partnerships Team.

  • 2+ years experience in sports industry, with focus on digital initiatives and partnerships
  • Deep understanding of the sports industry and sports publisher ecosystem on Facebook & Instagram
  • Excellent project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects on deadline
  • Knowledge of the sports content and media landscape, revenue streams, digital business models and overall internet/technology space
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as a team, and cross-functionally, both internally and externally
  • Experience working with data and drawing actionable insights from data
  • Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
