The primary responsibilities for the Privacy and Public Policy Associate will be: • Support Facebook's public policy and communications activities. • Support outreach to Government, Congress, non‐profit organizations, and other entities.
-Support travel and logistics for top FB executives on trips that are key to company outreach and strategy. Will help to build travel itineraries, book hotels, consult on events, and any other tasks that are required to make executive travel a success
-partner closely with executive comms team, executive protection team, executive engineering team, video production team and events team
• Previous internship or professional experience in policy, research, communications, or government preferred. • Demonstrated interest in politics, public policy, and technology. • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully.
Candidate must have 4+ years of experience in VIP advance and event experience to include:
-Supporting CEO level Silicon Valley executive travel
-Supporting senior government official travel
-Working on international trips with foreign government officials
-Working closely with personal security teams
-Experience creating and building travel schedules and itineraries
• Pursuing a BA or graduate degree in business, law, political science, public policy, international relations, communications, journalism, or equivalent.
