Localization Vendor Manager


  • User Management

    • Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding of vendor users on Facebook’s proprietary localization tools. 

    • Maintain database of approved vendor resources

    • Communicate tool access status to vendors

    • Troubleshoot vendor access issues

  • Resource qualification

    • Coordinate the testing of new vendor candidates

    • Liaise with internal and external QA resources to evaluate vendor tests

    • Maintain database of candidate testing

    • Provide testing status updates to internal stakeholders

    • Facilitate vendor training sessions

  • Probation

    • Lead introductory kick-off calls with vendor candidates

    • Establish mutually agreed probation schedules

    • Coordinate the collection and exchange of probation files with internal stakeholders and vendors, i.e. file hand-off

    • Provide vendors with weekly probation results and query support

    • Track status of probation and provide updates to stakeholders

  • Vendor Management Process Documentation

    • Support the creation of end-to-end process documentation, i.e. candidate discovery through on-boarding / off-boarding, production


  • Ensure all external resources are appropriately provisioned on Facebook internal systems in compliance with company policy. 

  • Own communication with diverse network of localization vendor companies

  • Create and execute on vendor test, probation and localization schedules.

  • Review, prioritize, and track progress of issues that affect localization vendor operations and efficiencies

  • Working with vendors to ensure all assignments are understood, timelines are followed, and deliveries completed correctly and on time

  • Analyze vendor workflow issues and provide optimal solutions

  • Support cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Program Management, Language Management, Engineering, etc.) to ensure localization requirements are implemented and localization process is well understood

  • Work with tooling teams to define Vendor Platform designs and automation

  • Improve and optimize internal and external process and workflows

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with localization, vendor and/or project management

  • BA/BS in relevant discipline

  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently

  • Ability to stay focused under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in business process tools

  • Familiarity with the Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Oculus

  • Knowledge of additional languages other than English

  • Data analytics and visualization


BA/BS in technical discipline or equivalent experience
