Marketing Project Manager (8880725)

Oculus is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented marketing project manager to work cross-functionally to deliver retail product demonstrations for new products and product demonstration update. The ideal candidate is someone who possesses experience in marketing, gaming or interactive content project management.

This person should have demonstrated success leading projects from conception to successful implementation. Experience with software platforms, developer communications and the VR landscape are all a plus.

This role is a 6-12 month contractor role and will be based out of the Oculus Menlo Park or Seattle office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage cross-collaborative projects including requirements, planning, scheduling, deliverables, resourcing, XFN alignment, measurement, documentation, and reporting for assigned projects.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive project schedule for all assigned programs. Manage delegations and dependencies and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Track line item budgets for assigned projects. Provide regular budget status, variance updates, accounting forecasts and period close reports.
  • Work with internal XFN-partners (Marketing Operations, Product Marketing, Hardware, Software, Content) to deliver assigned projects. Lead XFN virtual teams and project meetings
  • Manage all digital and physical program collateral and assets for assigned projects. Craft creative briefs and drive creative subprojects as required.
  • Develop project internal communications including team briefings, group communications, XFN-roadshows, town halls, Q&As, volunteer and staff briefings.
  • Provide and receive feedback to inform and implement process improvement practices.
  • Develop project resource strategy that includes identification of external and partner scopes of work. Escalate resource gaps for resolution.
  • 5+ years marketing project management or interactive production experience
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, ruthless prioritization, and multi-tasking
  • Self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer software skills, including MS Office, Keynote, Quip,
  • Passion for VR and familiarity with gaming or digital entertainment
  • Availability and willingness to travel

  • BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
