Country Marketing Manager (INTL)

Duties

The company's UK Marketing team is seeking an experienced marketing professional to cover maternity leave for their industry engagement manager. 

This role will require operationalising the Northern Europe marketing plan, being responsible for bringing to life key business priorities and messages to the advertising industry, in a measured yet creative way. This individual will be responsible for protecting and promoting the reputation of Facebook Business amongst the advertising industry - including trade body stakeholders, industry influencers and senior clients. 

This person will show a passion for the ad industry, stay a breast of the latest thought-leadership developments across key contributors, and have an interest in the policy and regulatory discussions around particularly digital media. 

The candidate chosen for the role must be obsessed with delivering the right message to the right audience in the right way, possess exceptional project management and communications skills—and a marketing mindset that is as strategic as it is creative. They must be someone one who is a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and thrives in an extremely fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. He/she should possess a strong work ethic, as well as a genuine passion for marketing, advertising and the company's mission.

The role will require this individual to work closely with the team, integrating content developed, aligning with key marketing campaigns in market, and forecasting key moments to be mindful of across the calendar year. 

Responsibilities include:

Be responsible for having a constant eye on the UK marketing calendar, and forecasting key moments to protect/promote around

Build relationships and stay close to the sales teams' priorities, supporting communication from 1:1 to one to many around key topics

Exercise excellent judgement in messaging key business updates to senior industry audiences

Drive the UK development of business and reputation campaigns and work with the wider team to integrate into media planning

Build and nurture key industry body stakeholder relationships, ensuring a lazer focus on workstreams identified at the start of the year - and working closely with cross-functional partners to bring to live

Stay abreast of key industry conversations around brand safety, viewability and measurement, data privacy, advertising regulation and cross-media developments and support the development of Facebook's role within it

Bring to life key partnerships with key industry bodies/ groups through marketing and events e.g. IAB Upfronts

Support the UK speaker bench across industry events, owning the tier one opportunities directly

Directly feed into the working relationship of our speaker engagement agency - supporting on the pitching, and progression of opportunities with sales

Proactively foster, develop and drive thought leadership in support of Global Marketing Solutions goals

Work closely with the comms team to align UK marketing activity with their activity, considering key comms moments, and extending programmes through earned media

Build strong networks both internally and externally to ensure the UK team is always aware of (or ahead of) the current state of the industry

Be on hand to support the UK marketing team with majour activations, events, ad campaigns etc

 

Skills

Requirements & Skills:

7 + years of marketing experience in a relevant business with transferable skills and experience

Understanding of the marketing and advertising ecosystem

Exceptional organizational and project management skills

Experience in managing a complex marketing content calendar is essential

Highly skilled when it comes to working cross-functionally and building relationships with key stakeholders

Strong academic background in Business, Marketing or related field

Ability and willingness to work autonomously

Passionate about thought leadership and innovation
