Materials Program Manager (9050091)

The Materials Program Manager (MPM) is responsible for the management and delivery of the product financial health for groundbreaking, highly integrated consumer electronics products. This person has a business orientation and works with operations, engineering, and finance teams driving development, implementation, and management of materials for the product build plan. The MPM is the business voice responsible for capturing, documenting, and communicating financial exposures and outlay as they relate to the product. They are involved throughout all stages of the product family's lifecycle to ensure the products achieve all financial and delivery targets through end-of-life. They will support weekly executive new product reviews, monthly executive Sales & Operation Planning reviews outlining business implications relating to materials.

Basic Skills:

  • Advanced user of excel
  • Familar with MRP/ERP systems
  • 5+ years experience evaluating and qualifying new suppliers based on technical merit and value contribution

  • 3+ years experience in program management

  • 5+ years experience driving the supply chain and operations teams to provide detailed cost reduction results

  • 5+ years managing purchase price variance claims resulting from engineering changes, component obsolescence, or forecast variance

  • 5+ years experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain, and JDM partners

  • 5+ years experience in a procurement organization in a consumer market segment company with annual spend of (USD)10+ million for product materials


Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of electronic technologies, products, and tools
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maximize internal resources
  • Experience leading and defining materials requirements and driving these across diverse organizations


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or supply chain discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations or Engineering
