|The employee will be responsible for implementation, monitoring and sustaining Environmental Health and Safety programs, including OSHA compliance and Environmental regulatory compliance at the site level.|
The employee will serve as primary point of contact for Environmental Health and Safety at assigned sites.
Project work will consist of but will not be limited to –
Ensure that the client work-sites comply with OSHA, Environmental regulations and other applicable EHS related federal (EPA), state and local regulations, ANSI Standards, etc.
Create and/or facilitate health, safety and environmental training programs such as occupational safety and health training, Washington state required training, etc and site-specific hazard awareness training.
Collaborate with the facilities teams, lab managers, operations support and other teams within the organization to implement and execute EHS programs, policies, site level compliance, standards and events.
Maintain documentation and environmental records required for EHS compliance
Develop site specific EHS risk assessments for chemicals, equipment and processes.
Work with teams to support new chemicals, processes and equipment being acquired for the site
Partner with the Legal and Health & Safety teams to provide up-to-date regulatory guidance to all departments within the organization
Conduct robotics risk assessments and work with robot users/teams as the site point of contact for Robotics Safety.
Ensure safe and complaint storage and disposal of hazardous and other non-hazardous waste on site including but not limited to – signage, labeling, profiling hazardous waste, documentation (signed manifest copies), on-site hazardous waste management, working with vendor for disposal, hazardous waste training etc.
Create draft versions of environmental reports such as Industrial Waste Water Survey, etc for approval. Collect information and work on action items for other site specific environmental reports.
Create, review and update site Emergency Action Plans, maps and other documents related to emergency response and preparedness.
Standard day-to-day site-specific work includes
EHS site inspections and safety audits
Incident investigations and corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.
Provide monthly metrics such as incidents, inspections, etc
Report and monitor hazardous-waste and non-hazardous waste quantities generated
Conduct monthly Safety Committee Meetings for applicable sites
Update and maintain site’s confined space, fall, chemical, CMR and equipment inventory for EHS programs
Travel when necessary as part of fulfilling the EHS role (Will require 30% domestic travel)
