Read and analyze news articles/broadcast/social media clips relevant to Facebook Inc.
Translation of press materials on a tight timeframe (e.g. newsroom posts that we don’t have time to translate via i18n as they are in response to a crisis)
Prioritize respective Facebook clips and compile into daily reports as needed.
Compile briefing books to prepare for regional visits with executives and relevant company leadership.
Compile media coverage reports as requested for major launches and events
Use measurement tools in their languages (including verifying sentiment anaylsis)
Support additional media research for Facebook's public policy and communications activities.
Prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.
Learn quickly in a fast‐paced, ever‐changing environment.
Customer service background. Working with communications team members under stressful situations and tight timelines.
Fluency in English + German. Fluency in additional major European languages or Arabic is a plus
Ability to commit a minimum of 30-40 hours per week in Facebook's Berlin or Hamburg office.
Previous internship or professional experience in policy, research, or communications preferred.
Demonstrated interest in politics, public policy, and technology.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills in English and any other listed fluent language.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully.
Experience in the Internet technology industry is a plus.
BA/BS or translation certificate
