Facebook is seeking a news media professional to join the News Partnerships team in Singapore.
This role will identify, plan and execute initiatives that build relationship with the news organizations in the region, with a focus on emerging countries in APAC, starting with Myanmar and Sri Lanka.
A demonstrated passion for the news industry and how it intersects with technology are musts for this job. The News partnerships team is the face of Facebook to our external relationships with APAC’s largest media companies, publishers, journalists and influencers.
Provide day-to-day support to the Strategic Partnership Managers in APAC News – with a focus on unmanaged partners, working on emerging
countries in the region
Manage implementation and optimization of Facebook’s strategic partnerships with news publishers Develop research and measurement strategy and manage prioritization of initiatives across internal and external stakeholders
Work closely with XFN teams to understand how major media publishers, influencers, and public figures are using Facebook to connect and share with people around the world
Identify trends and actionable insights to drive strategic partnerships and industry communications
Synthesize a wide variety of inputs from different stakeholders into coherent narratives and action plans
Work with global team to scale programs and drive adoption across priority markets
Be an internal advocate with cross-functional teams —including product, product marketing, engineering, and communications— for partners and industry priorities
Collaborate with partners to develop innovative and high-impact social integrations, and drive operational management of partnership projects
Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partners and their goals
Proactively resolve issues of partners like verification, fake pages, merger of pages etc;
2+ years of experience as a consultative partner or project manager
Proven experience in News/Publishing and/or partner management, with focus on publishing and news and politics
Some experience analyzing editorial or business performance at a news organization, digital publisher, or social measurement company
Excellent project management experience, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects on deadline
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to clarify and summarize complex issues
Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, both internally and externally
Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced Excel skills for analyzing and visualizing data
